Fantastic product
I live in the South and have a front porch and tiny front yard. I make good use of the space with window boxes and pots for blueberry bushes, geraniums, Mediterranean herbs, and so forth. In the summer, it gets really hot and I have to stay on top of the watering or else lose plants. These terracotta watering stakes are the solution. A wine bottle filled with water provides excellent slow release of water just as the plants need it, with no over watering or dried out plants. It's easy to check the bottles too, for when they need a refill.

Will buy AGAIN 👍
Worked even better than I’d hoped!! I travel A LOT, with minimal notice. One of them was broken when I received the package and the company is very clear that they are ABSOLUTELY willing to replace any broken during shipping. Since I was shipping out for a month and a half within days of receiving them I honestly didn’t ask about it. What MADE this such a great purchase was the ease of use. They don’t get clogged and aren’t a pain to fill like the damn glass bubble thingies. I didn’t have any wine bottles but a few friends donated/recycled their liquor bottles for the cause. My most picky & favorite plant got a costco vodka bottle as the designated water vessel. WORKED like a CHAMP!! I did break a second “stake” trying to seat it properly in the planter, so they are delicate. But again with a big enough bottle you can easily water a plant with one stake for 2 months or more depending on how needy the plant is.

Highly recommend
Outstanding product! I am a teacher who had plants in the windows outside my classroom and they work great for keeping whom hydrated over the weekend. I also have them for my plants at home and recommend them for anyone going out of town for a week or so. It’s a lot to ask a neighbor to feed your pets and water your plants but this took the plants out of the picture since I could just fill their wine bottle with water and they were pretty much set. They are delicate though so when inserting them you really need to make sure you dig the hole and do not just put them right into the dirt Highly recommend

Works great- might need to get creative with bottles so as not to appear alcoholic to neighbors
East to install- just use the hilariously tiny shovels that are included with the purchase to dig the perfect sized hole. It looks a bit silly to have alcohol bottles strewn all over the garden, but one of these days I’ll get ambitious and hot-glue some twine around them so it’s not as obvious. None of the ones I received were broken, but the company includes a customer service contact that the buyer can reach out to for replacements. I plan to purchase a few more to help combat our triple digit temps.

Very well made product, good directions
I had "plant nannies" before and needed more for potted plants in my yard. I loved that these were very specific about not pushing the product into the potting soil. I have broken others by applying too much pressure and was more conscious of this issue due to the instructions. I found that using a dauber to pre-push the hole and then inserting is a great and quick way to install.

Very very easy to use
I purchased 6, then ordered another 6 because they work so WELL!!! They just require one to make the necessary whole in the soil and place a bottle in the holder. I soaked mine in water prior to using them, water gradually seeps out into the plant. Water lasts well over a week possibly two. Very very easy to use, and durable product.

Fragile but amazing!!!!
Obviously get a spoon and loosen your dirt or scoop some out of the spot you plan to push this spike in. They are basically clay so yes they are quite fragile. Important to remember (something i overlooked by accident when i got mine) if your plant loves a lot of water press the stake in all the way to the rim. If you have a plant that doesn't want as much water and a much slower rate of water being give to the plant then only push the stake in halfway or less. Id you push the stake in as level as you can and don't lean it to the side you can easily balance a regular sized beer bottle and not have it tip over with the stake not being pushed in much. My one plant demands a ton of water. I bought a large wine bottle and it balanced inside this stake perfectly. Pay attention to the type of bottles you are putting in here the instructions show a specific yet standard type bottle to work for this product. This is an amazing product i am so happy i tried these i have since bought like ten more boxes as my home is filled with over 70 huge plants and many of them very water sensitive and very picky. Order some and you wont be dissapointed.

No Excuses. Now we can all have a green thumb
Want a beautiful garden bed but it never happens? That's usually because we forget to take care of it - no water - no flowers. No more excuses. These things made even me look like I have a green thumb. Go ahead and stop at the local nursery. These are your secret bullet. I used different colored wine bottles and the garden looks like a piece of art. Read the instructions. The pics on the box show the spikes being inserted on an angle. They need to do in straight up and down. Customer service is awesome so if you have any questions, they are right there to help.

Watering stakes
Quality is good with consistent color and finish throughout six watering stakes. These can be inserted deep into soil allowing 360 degree watering. The terracotta material seeps slowly into soil and depends on moisture level of surrounding soil. I especially like how the surface soil stays dry, avoiding unwanted attention from pests. I’m using wine bottles as my reservoirs and the fit is perfect. I intend to use these while on vacation for 10 days so I don’t have to beg someone to water my vegetables.

Good Bye Gnats!!!
So excited for these ceramic watering stakes. My plants had some unexpected guest; fungus gnats. Heard the best way to get rid of them was to keep the top soil dry since the gnats like moist areas to lay their eggs and they feed off of the plant roots. So far I covered the top of the soil with gnat nix and have been using the stakes for about a week and it looks like it took care of the gnat problem. Now when I travel I also don’t have to worry about my plants not getting watered. Win win. I will continue to mintor how the plants take on to the stakes. But so far so good!
